Casa Estudio Luis Barragán
Barragán’s own house is organized as a succession of thresholds rather than around a single central room. Its plain exterior gives little indication of what happens inside, where changes in height, light, texture and direction gradually separate working, living and contemplative spaces.
The garden, library, studio and roof terrace are not independent scenes. Together they show how Barragán could create emotional intensity through restraint, turning an ordinary urban plot into a private world.
