Not a single, commercially fixed shade — across Barragán’s work “Mexican pink” moves between a bougainvillea-red pink, a colder fuchsia and a dusty, lime-washed rose depending on light and surface. The color is often traced to bougainvillea itself, carried from the plant onto heavy plastered walls until it reads as architecture rather than decoration.
