Augusto Pérez Palacios led the design of the Estadio Olímpico Universitario, working with Raúl Salinas Moro and Jorge Bravo Jiménez to set a stadium directly into the volcanic terrain of Ciudad Universitaria rather than building a freestanding structure on top of it.
