The same generation that built Mexico's famous modernist houses also built offices and clubs, where a repeated structural grid did the work a garden did at home.

    The grid in its plainest form. One modular facade on Paseo de la Reforma shows the organisation of the offices behind it, with no decoration and no monumental gesture to hide it.

    The same module as Jaysour, stretched from a single street facade to a whole financial campus of offices and services. Seen together, the two show how far one rule can scale.

    Here the order has to hold a varied programme of sport, social and community life, spread across a campus of connected buildings and open ground.

  4. Club de Golf México

    Enrique del Moral, Mario Pani, and Salvador Ortega Flores

    The loosest of the four. Low buildings and terraces reach toward the course, and the open landscape, not the grid, does most of the organising.
