Torres de Satélite transformed the entrance to a new residential development into an image that could be understood at the speed of a moving car. The towers do not function as conventional buildings or monuments with a single front. Their scale, spacing and changing profiles are perceived through movement along the highway.

The project moved Barragán’s work beyond the private house and garden. Together with Mathias Goeritz, he used abstract form and color to give identity to the expanding metropolitan landscape.
