# Las Arboledas

Luis Barragán · [Mexico City](https://fondomoderno.com/explore/cities/mexico-city)

Las Arboledas was conceived as more than a collection of private plots. Barragán used long walls, water, trees, paths and spaces for horses to establish a shared landscape for the development.

Its most important elements sit between architecture and infrastructure. They organize movement, frame distant views and give collective identity to an otherwise dispersed suburban territory. The project shows Barragán treating public space as a sequence of simple but precisely placed interventions.
