# Jacaranda Violet

Barragán's violets and lilacs sit in an uncertain territory between pink, blue and gray — traced to jacaranda blossom rather than any single fixed pigment. Transferring the color of a flowering tree onto a wall gives something seasonal and fragile the permanence and scale of architecture.

This family is especially sensitive to light: pale lavender in daylight, dusty mauve on rough plaster, deep purple in shadow, cooler and grayer once the plaster has weathered. It rarely acts as a dominant focus — more often it mediates between architecture, sky and planting, giving transitional spaces a quieter chromatic depth.
