# Vladimir Shukhov

Vladimir Shukhov was an engineer rather than an architect by training, and the Shukhov Tower in Moscow is his best-known work: a hyperboloid steel lattice structure that used far less material than a conventional tower of the same height, built for early Soviet radio broadcasting.
